The Committee recommends that the State party make use of temporary special measures, in accordance with article 4 (1) of the Convention and the Committee’s general recommendation No. 25 (2004) on temporary special measures, including by providing appropriate incentives, such as gender scorecards, and carrying out campaigns targeting decision makers and shareholders of private companies, in particular of the 200 largest Norwegian companies, to significantly increase the number of women executive board members and chief executive officers.
