The State party should strengthen effective policies and procedures to identify and support child victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation, as well as children who are at particular risk of falling victim to such crimes, and protect children from additional factors that may increase their vulnerability to trafficking, such as unsupervised exposure to the Internet.
The State party should undertake specific efforts to eliminate discrepancies in the application of the definition of trafficking by municipalities, which is particularly necessary with respect to children who are not yet residents.
The State party should allocate additional resources to identify perpetrators of such crimes and bring them to justice.
The State party should improve coordination in providing assistance to child victims of trafficking.
The State party should conduct research to better assess the scope of trafficking in the State party.
