The Committee recommends that the State party take effective measures to reduce the income inequality and intensify its efforts to eradicate poverty, particularly child poverty in the State party. In particular, it recommends that the State party assess the effectiveness of existing policies and programmes and identify the root causes of child poverty and the needs of children living in poverty and their families with a view to adopting effective measures to tackle child poverty and to providing adequate support to children and their families living in poverty.
