Participation of persons with disabilities in cultural life, recreation, leisure and sport

The Committee recommends that the State party take all steps necessary to secure and promote inclusive and accessible facilities for recreational, leisure and sporting activities, including at World Heritage Sites of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, providing equal access and ensuring the participation of persons with disabilities, particularly children. It also encourages the State party to promptly ratify the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired, or Otherwise Print Disabled.
