Gender stereotypes in caretaking and family contexts

The Committee recommends that the State party continue awareness-raising and efforts to promote equal sharing between women and men of care responsibilities, including professionally, while avoiding conveying messages that may reinforce gender stereotypes.

The Committee recommends that the State party develop strategies to address stereotypes about the roles and responsibilities of women and men in the family and in society that may result in intersecting forms of discrimination against women.
