Information on issues raised by the Norwegian National Human Rights Institution for the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Norway.
The Norwegian National Human Rights Institution (NIM) has provided a stakeholder report to the UN Human Rights Council in relation to the third cycle of the UPR of Norway. The report can be found here.
State actors participating in the review of Norway, are encouraged to raise the issues mentioned in this report in their written or oral questions to Norway.
NIM will be present at the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) hearing of Norway in Geneva the 6th of May 2019.

Who is NIM
The United Nations has recommended that all states establish a national human rights institution (NHRI) vested with competence to promote and protect human rights. The Norwegian National Human Rights Institution (NIM) plays this role in Norway. NIM is an independent, public institution, established in 2015 by the Norwegian Parliament to promote and protect human rights in Norway.
