With reference to its general comment No. 2 (2002) on the role of independent human rights institutions, and in line with its previous recommendations (CRC/C/ NOR/CO/4, para. 14) the Committee recommends that the State party take measures to ensure that the Ombudsman for Children and/or the National Human Rights Institution are entrusted with the mandate to receive, investigate and address complaints by children, in all areas that concern them, in a child-sensitive manner.
